What is Enhanced Login Security?

Enhanced Login Security is a free upgrade to Pro Fed OnLine. This new feature will identify you as the true owner of your account by recognizing both your password and your computer each time you log into Pro Fed OnLine.

If you log into your account from a new computer, you will need to provide additional information by answering challenge questions you have previously selected. This extra layer of protection keeps you safe by using information that only
you know.

How does it work?

The next time you log into your Pro Fed OnLine account, you will be prompted to select and answer two Challenge Questions. These questions will be used to establish your identity if you are logging in from a computer without Enhanced Login Security or if you have forgotten your password.
Next, you will be asked if you would like to enroll your computer in Enhanced Login Security.

When you add Enhanced Login Security to your computer, we will install a small piece of code called a cookie to uniquely identify your computer.
- To add Enhanced Login Security:
The next time you login from your computer, we will verify your account ID, password, and computer. Enhanced Login Security will be working behind the scenes to identify you as the true owner of your account.
If you need to login from a different computer, you will be asked to provide the answers to your Challenge Questions before you can access your account.

Am I required to enroll in Enhanced Login Security?

Although we do not require you to enroll in Enhanced Login Security at this time, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this free security feature. All members will be required to enroll in Enhanced Login Security beginning January 30, 2007.

Will I be required to answer my Challenge Questions every time I log into Pro Fed OnLine?

No, you will be prompted to answer your Challenge Questions if you login from a computer or browser that does not have the extra security protection added to it.

I am using a PC other than the one I originally enrolled in extra protection, and I am being asked my Challenge Questions at each login. Can I set up this PC so that I do not have to answer the Challenge Questions at each login?

Yes, you can change your challenge selections at any time.
To make changes:

Log into your Pro Fed OnLine account.
Select User Options.
Select Enhanced Login Security.
Accept the default, Add extra security protection to this computer.

Can I change my Challenge Questions and answers?

Yes, you can change your challenge selections at any time.
To make changes:

Log into your Pro Fed OnLine account.
Select User Options.
Select Challenge Question Setup.
Select and answer two questions.

Why do you require my e-mail address?

Any time someone attempts to use your Challenge Questions to access your account or reset your password, we will send you an e-mail notification. This alerts you in case someone else is attempting to log into your online account.

What happens if I forget the answers to my Challenge Questions and need to login from a different computer?

You will need to call Pro Fed at 800-752-4613 ext. 13 during our normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday in order to have your account reset.

What happens if I delete the cookies on my computer?

Your computer will no longer be recognized by the Enhanced Login Security program. You will be prompted to answer your Challenge Questions before logging into your account. You can then add the extra security protection to your computer again.

How do I remove the extra security protection from a computer I will no longer be using?

Log into your Pro Fed OnLine account.
Select User Options.
Select Enhanced Login Security.
Select the second option, Remove extra security protection from this computer.

Can I add extra security protection to more than one computer?

Yes, you may add Enhanced Login Security to as many computers as you wish!
